Evensong: An Installation

“Evensong” is a peaceful meditation on aging — the slow but inevitable flow of life and the often hard-won freedom to float or soar. The room is filled with many light-weight, paper women arranged singularly or in clusters, from floor to ceiling. They move toward and away from each other as the air in the room circulates. There is also the auditory aspect of soft natural sounds of evening as well. This immersive installation combines elements of line drawing and sculpture. Visitors occupy the same space as the etherial figures, walking among them, becoming one of them. We are all in this life together.
